Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is celebrating it's 110th year at the famous Will Rogers Center in Fort Worth, Texas. San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo!

San Antonio is kicking off their stock show and rodeo early this year and the tickets are already on sale! The rodeo and horse events will be held at the Freeman Coliseum Grounds in San Antonio. Southern Texas Playday Association- Friendswood - Playdays -Barrels/Poles
Southern Texas Playday Association is hosting a Spring Individual Playday (not part of a series) at the Old Arena City Park in Friendswood, Texas on February 11th. The playday starts at 5 PM with books closing at 4:30 PM. There will be four age groups; 9 and under, 10 - 13, 14-18, and 19 and over. The events offered are barrels (cloverleaf and straights), poles and a mystery event. Entry fees: volunteer arena helpers- $5 per event, non-helper- $8 per event, exhibition- $4 per run (before each event and age group). All-around awards will be given in each age group. Southern Texas Playday Association Saddle Series begins March 25th at the Brazoria County Fair Grounds, Jack Phillips Jr. Rodeo Arena, in Angleton, TX. NO rain dates except in extreme weather or emergencies! Series All-Around Awards will be given in each age group: 9 and under, 10 - 13, 14-18, and 19 and over. Prizes: Champion = Custom-made American SADDLES, Runner-up and Third places = Engraved Silver Trophy BUCKLES; Fourth - Sixth = various TACK. Pre-entry deadline is March 11th, paperwork includes entry form & copies of currant negative Coggins test, and proof of age unless already on file. NEW 2006 TQHA All Novice Clinc & AQHA Show- English/Western Novice
The TQHA is hosting an All Novice Clinic and AQHA Show at the Lone Star Arena, Stephenville, TX. The clinic is March 25th 9 AM - 4 PM, clinicians will be John Riggs (Western Rail Classes), Bruce Walquist (All-Around/Showmanship), and Cindy Walquist (English & All-Around). Registration is $20.00 (TQHA membership required) and the clinic is limited to the first 40 riders. The All-Novice AQHA Horse Show will be held on the 26th starting at 8AM. The judge is Suzy Jeane, $10.00 entry fee per class, prizes awarded for 1st - 6th. Hi -Point Winners must compete in BOTH Spring and Fall Novice shows to qualify. Western winner receives a western saddle by Tex Tan, English winner receives a Collegiate. Lone Star Classic, Waco, TX - Halter/Hunter/Pleasure/Horse Show
The Central Texas Arabian Horse Club, CTAHC, is hosting their annual Lone Star Classic at the Heart 'O Texas Complex in Waco, TX. Juding will be US Nationals Judge Jacie Johnston. This show is an IAHA Region IX qualifying show recognized by the IAHA #06097834 and will offer $75 flat fee for junior classes, Youth High Point cash awards, as well as High Point Purebred Gelding! Heads up for folks who like to go trail riding! The Mason County Trail Rides are starting up again!! These rides are held on a beautiful ranch with over 3,500+ acres. Easy highway access to the camp which is located under huge shade trees on Honey Creek. After riding you can play in the Llano River then go to the dance on Saturday night! $75 for adults, kids under 12, $30- fees include six great meals. Negative Coggins required and shoes are recommended! No stallions. From the NW corner of the square in Mason, take El Paso/RR 1871 (between Commercial Bank and Citgo). Mason County Trail Ride - Trail Ride
If you missed the ride in May, DON'T MISS THIS ONE! These folks put on a great trail ride! The rides are held on a beautiful ranch with over 3,500+ acres. Easy highway access to the camp which is located under huge shade trees on Honey Creek.
